Thinking about Recruitment 2011?

We at the Panhellenic Association are very pleased to present the 2011 Recruitment Guide! In it you can find information about each of the seven NPC chapters at Butler, important dates for Panhel recruitment events and chapter philanthropy events, and helpful recruitment tips from the Panhellenic Association. The guide can be found here.

As you can see, the theme of this years recruitment is "Find Sweet Sisterhood." This means that we have plenty of sweet treats for you throughout the semester!

Welcome Back, Butler

Hey there Bulldogs! It's hard to believe that summer has gone by so fast. It seems like just yesterday we were all driving ourselves crazy by simultaneously studying for finals and packing up to ship off for summer adventures! But now we're back on campus and we're ready to have the best year ever, aren't you?

To all of the freshmen and transfer students that are new to our campus, welcome! We hope you're already getting to know and love Butler and are taking advantage of all of the great opportunities that being a Butler Bulldog affords you!

The Panhellenic Association has been hard at work all summer getting ready for this semester. Did you know that recruitment doesn't just happen for a week in January? We hold events all throughout the Fall in order for you to become familiar with all of the NPC chapters on campus, as well as what goes on during recruitment. These events will be starting soon, so be sure to check back here or on Facebook & Twitter so that you don't miss a single one!

Last night the school year kicked off with Block Party. All of the chapters looked great, and we are so excited by the number of girls who signed up to receive recruitment information from us! We hope to see all of you at all of our events this semester! If you didn't get a chance to sign up last night, don't worry, you're still more than welcome to come to our events and see what sorority life is all about. Our 2011 recruitment counselors!

We held interviews last week to select our recruitment counselors for the next school year. We were extremely impressed with all of the women that applied. Each and every one of them were excellent representations of our Panhellenic community. After some tough decisions, we have selected 26 women to lead potential new members through recruitment in January. The group is made up of women from every house and campus and both juniors and seniors.

So you want to be a Recruitment Counselor.

It’s that time of year again! The Panhellenic Association is looking for recruitment counselors for Recruitment 2011!

Being a recruitment counselor gives women the opportunity to see the OTHER other side of recruitment. Recruitment counselors have the chance to meet and bond with women from every sorority at Butler.

So what exactly do recruitment counselors do? These are the women who guide potential new members through the stressful recruitment process. Recruitment counselors will disaffiliate from their chapter for the entire Fall 2010 semester. No, that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to live in your chapter house or hang out with your sisters, but it does mean that you aren’t allowed to wear your letters or participate in your house’s philanthropy events.

We are looking for women that are enthusiastic and outgoing, and who are also willing to listen to the potential new members and help them through the difficult week that is recruitment.

Just think, come January 2011, this could be YOU.

In order to be a recruitment counselor, a woman must be a member of a Butler University sorority, and must have been on both sides of recruitment (as a potential new member and as a sorority member). We encourage women that are currently studying abroad to apply, but we unfortunately will not be able to accept women that plan to study abroad in the Fall of 2010, since they will miss several important training workshops.
